Weddings & Representing who you are
So as most of you know I assisted in my first wedding last weekend thanks to Jenny from Moondance Photography! She was so fun and easy to work with and I can't wait to work with her again. This wedding has really changed my life in so many ways. I feel that I have pretty much defined my style to who I am and feel blessed to have discovered that so early in game but I discovered something about weddings in particular. I started taking pictures in a way that was expected (the norm). Why be normal? Unique is really the way to go! I want to wow someone when they see my photos. Not go "well there's another pic of a bridal bouquet." I want a "OMG, that wedding bouquet is sitting on a Harley and wow is that so urban and spectacular." Well, you get the idea, lol! After viewing all my images, which I think are somewhat decent for my first time, I realized that I didn't stay true to who I am. I am a very quirky, unique, funny person but I don't feel these photos represent that. Could have been first time jitters, who knows! It was truly a learning experence and I will push myself harder next time to create art that really represents me! I am suddenly faced with amazing opportunities because of this one wedding and I am so grateful and excited about the adventures to come! Here are a few photos from Brian & Anne's wedding and again....a shoutout to Moondance Photography!!! Thanks girl!! :)

These are absolutely stunning! Great captures!
Awww thank you for this post. You don't know how happy I am that you helped me out with that wedding. I wish I had more time & more calmed nerves to help you that day, but the day was a little crazy b/c of the bad weather & change of venue. You still did an amazing job for your first time!! Weddings get easier with each one you take on :) Don't ever underestimate your creative skills & abilities, Jennifer! I'm so glad we have become friends, you are such a thoughtful, fun caring woman!
These are great! Don't underestimate yourself! Weddings are a whole different ball game. :) As much as we want to be super creative and unique with our images, we also must remember we are capturing their day... as it is and better than what they will remember :) With time you will learn how and when to put your twist to it, but give it time and don't beat yourself up over it. :) We are all always learning... no two weddings are the same. So again... these are GREAT!!!
