St. Charles/St. Louis Children's Photographer

Over the past few months I've had the opportunity to photograph some beautiful weddings with some seriously talented photographers in the area so be on the lookout for a ton of blogging coming soon! Also, this weekend I am photographing my Senior Rep & next week I have a session with my "Spokes Mama" (thanks Professional Photographer magazine & Heidi from Velvet Owl Photography for the idea!) so be ready for some gorgeous kiddo's & teens gracing my blog. Speaking of gorgeous kiddo's...I did my own version of school pictures with my daughter last week. Take a look and let me know what you think!

St. Charles/St. Louis Photographer

This week is my 1 yr anniversary of being in business!  I feel so blessed to being doing something I love so passionately on a daily basis!  It doesn't matter if I'm taking pictures of the sidewalk or of a baby.  I am happiest when I am behind the lens, with my family being the exception!  I am going to let this post be a simple one & leave you with what ignited my passion for photography.  Happy Tuesday friends!

St. Charles/St.Louis Wedding Photographer-Cobblestone Road Photography

I am trying out this "Finish It" action from MCP Actions today so my photos are going to look a little different.  I like the look but I'm thinking having rounded pictures may look better so let me know what you think!
So, on to the REAL reason for this post! In August I had the honor of photographing Danielle & Jed's Missouri Reception.  You see these two had celebrations everywhere!  They were married in Utah, had a reception here in Missouri, & a reception in Nevada! Not to mention a honeymoon in Oregon and moving to Tennessee.  I bet they won't feel like traveling for a while, lol!  Danielle grew up playing golf so it was very fitting for the reception to be at The Missouri Bluff Golf Course.  It was hot that day.  So, so hot.  I'm talking heat index of 112 hot.  Did I mention it was hot?  Anyway, most of the pictures where inside due to the excessive heat but I did manage to capture a few outside. Danielle & Jed, I wish you a wonderfully blessed life together.  Enjoy your sneak peak!

Hannah's mommy

So my goal is for this to be a personal/business blog and mostly I've been using it for my photography business.  Today it's personal.  Today isn't a good day.  Not at all.  I feel lost and hopeless and so lonely.  I don't want to put too much info out there because I want to protect my families privacy but at the same time I need to write about this.  I'm so confused.  Many of you that are friends of mine read my note on facebook about the diagnosis of autism. PDD-NOS (Pervasive Developmental Disorder) to be exact.  Well, this was the first year of school, of kindergarten and things haven't been going well and I don't know what to do for her.  Should I home school her?  Should she be in a mainstream classroom?  How do I help her?  I just can't go on feeling this way everyday.  Saying my morning prayer for her to have a "normal" day at school.  What have I done wrong?  Bad adoption story......really bad and now this with my baby girl.  I just want some normalcy.  Just once.
