~Spring Break~ St. Charles Children's photographer~Cobblestone Road Photography~

A breezy, warm day. A photo session requested by my daughter. A picnic in the park. Butterfly wings and bubbles. Rainbows, the sun, clouds and an apple tree created with sidewalk chalk. A morning at the zoo. A special treat of Gooey Butter Cake at Gooey Louies. A trip to the dollar theater to watch Tangled for the 3rd time. And last but not least a tea party with all the Tinkerbell fairies and one very special little girl named Hannah while it snows outside. This has been our spring break. Filled with hugs, kisses, & giggles and I am so sad to see it go.

~Bullying~ St. Louis/St. Charles & Pensacola Family Photographer ~Cobblestone Road Photography~

As many of you know last week my daughter was a victim of bullying. Just because my daughter wanted her hair as long as Rapunzel's. This little girl told her "NO, I DON'T WANT YOUR HAIR THAT LONG." Like she had the right to lay her hand on my daughter. She cut 4 inches off of my daughters hair. It took a long time to console my daughter and let her know everything was okay. That her hair would grow back. She's in kindergarten. You have got to be kidding me. Bullying in kindergarten? I know there are many of us going through the same thing. Our kids coming home upset because they were called names, pushed around, or bullied in some other manner. Well, I had a good friend contact me this morning and she had an amazing idea that I have kind of jumped on and added my own idea's as well. We are coming up with something amazing so be on the look out! My sweet girl wanted pictures taken the day after her hair was so rudely cut so I wasn't about to say no! She is so beautiful she takes my breathe away. And after everything she still wants to be friends with the little girl. What a kind heart she has!

The first set of photos were taken at Faust park where apparently she saw a horse, a bear, & some chickens! What an imagination she has! :-) I'm pretty sure I would have remembered seeing those animals...

St. Louis/St. Charles & Pensacola Family Photographer ~Cobblestone Road Photography~The Tale of the Rouge Photographer...

I love photographing this family! I've known them since my middle & high school days. You may remember their beach pictures last year. This time we went for a totally different feel and I love how their pictures turned out! Right before their session I was doing another family session and was told I was trespassing at the train tracks at the local depot station. Dude was mean. Several photographers there and he singled me out. :-P. Ha! Didn't know I was such a rebel did ya, lol?! Anyway, Corie suggested this place and it worked out well! The light was yummy! Corie & Glen, quit worrying about how "uncooperative' your little cutie was. She really wasn't and no you don't have to pay me a $1000 dollars to take her pictures again. Wait a minute. $1000 could by me some new camera equipment....haha! Seriously, she is a sweetheart and not nearly as "uncooperative" as my little one! My favorite one is the last one. Check out the owl eyes:) R- I didn't post your "jumping" picture...too weak. You owe me a good jump next time!

Happy 6th Birthday to my princess! I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday. I was so nervous and excited. My labor was a long 12hrs with no epidural and as you were born all the nurses gathered in our room and cheered! It felt surreal! That day was the happiest of my life. Then the next morning very early my grandmother, your great grandmother passed away. So the week although very joyful is also a bitter sweet one with you bringing all the joy in it with your beautiful face! I love you more than I can describe and I thank God every day for blessing me with you. I love you so much my sweet girl! I love your spunk, your songs, your dancing, your laughter, and even your tears! I love that you call me your best friend. I love you. And I love you to Ma!

St. Louis/St. Charles & Pensacola Family Photographer ~Cobblestone Road Photography~

WooHoo, I am down 2 lbs in 5 days.  I worked out so hard Wednesday I could barely move yesterday!  I did start Weight Watchers 2 days ago and so far I'm liking it!  I think I might meet my goal for April just in time for wedding season to start so I am a happy girl!  I have taken the last few months off to regroup and just take pictures for fun.  My wedding season starts getting crazy in April so I really, really need to finish blogging my sessions from the fall! Yeah, yeah, I know I've been saying that for weeks now.  I just get caught up in life and my blog falls on the backburner!

This session was done at one of my favorite placeshttp://www.nps.gov/guis/planyourvisit/fort-pickens.htm.  So many different locations and textures everywhere! And what a cutie patootie I had to work with!

I used Florabella's free blog templates today.  I had an issue resizing a few of these and so one of the pictures looks a little coo-coo so don't hate!  I will figure it out for next time.  I just don't have time today. You know, life is taking over! :) If your a photographer & you haven't checked out Shana's sight you really should!  She is pretty amazing! http://florabellacollection.com/blog/
